Finally got the engine back from the builders and installed. Have fitted the Sierra EFI and have started wiring same. Just a question... do you still utilise the standard Escort wiring for the coil or use the wiring from the ECU/distributor or connect both?? Id still like to be able to use the tacho in the six dial dash. Any ideas

The tacho is fed from the coil and the TFI module.

Thanks for that guys. But I was wondering if you use the original wiring to the coil from the escort loom? I have the wires to attach to the coil from the EFI loom/distributor.

I wonder if this might help.
Obviously its for a different ecu, but it might help you out.

Can't see why you couldn't use the original tacho wire in the escort loom back to the tacho.
