Nothing too major to report, but have made up an airbox to keep me going till/if I can sort out anything better.

Toinght I hooked laptop up to it, timed it up and loaded in a base map from another car with a different engine but still 4cyl then fiddled with it a bit. Got 5.4v outa my battery on cranking, though it did fired a couple of times and came close to starting it didn't have the guts to actually start it.

So Im happy that wiring of computer seems to be all sweet, all sensors are reading at laptop, dizzy is getting spark and a fat one at that. I now know why my car was so crap at starting sometimes, the spark is about 10times bigger (seriously) no than it used to be even with a flat batt. So batteries on charge overnight and I'll have another crack tomorrow in between studying for another friggn exam.
Then its goes off for proper tuning, setup of ECU and calibration if sensors next Tuesday. I hope ...fingers crossed I've got a driveable Escort by the end of next week

Very nice... sounds like you've got the same problem as me, my squirt turned up in the middle of swot vac, I hid it but it somehow managed to reappear on my bed and unpack itself [:I]

who are you getting to tune it for you?

Shiit yeh it runs! A charged battery and a bit more fiddling with ECU settings and I had car running this arvo. Will leave the rest for the professionals now I think.

Stairsy, swotvac sucks. Turns brains to jelly, you've gota have some sort of outlet in between all the studying.
Boostworx will be tuning it.

Got my car back! Happy about that. Conversion of quad throttle bodies is a success so far. Car pulled an extra 9kws which for NA is a very decent jump and much more than I expected. Peak power jumped 700 rpm to 6500rpm and car pulls all the way to 7000rpm cleanly.

The 9kw extra is not from the same dyno as my Pinto Powerboard figure but the last place that tuned the car with Sierra EFI setup so it's a proper before and after figure.

Right now I need to go get it ready for Classic Ford Dyno day (needs alot more work)
