Nothing too major to report, but have made up an airbox to keep me going till/if I can sort out anything better.
Toinght I hooked laptop up to it, timed it up and loaded in a base map from another car with a different engine but still 4cyl then fiddled with it a bit. Got 5.4v outa my battery on cranking, though it did fired a couple of times and came close to starting it didn't have the guts to actually start it.
So Im happy that wiring of computer seems to be all sweet, all sensors are reading at laptop, dizzy is getting spark and a fat one at that. I now know why my car was so crap at starting sometimes, the spark is about 10times bigger (seriously) no than it used to be even with a flat batt. So batteries on charge overnight and I'll have another crack tomorrow in between studying for another friggn exam.
Then its goes off for proper tuning, setup of ECU and calibration if sensors next Tuesday. I hope ...fingers crossed I've got a driveable Escort by the end of next week
