I can tell you how the car will go with 3people in it thru that section, like a 1600 with one person in it, except will probably start to handle worse than the 1600. There we go, done

As far as dyno sheets go, I wasn't really planning on doing a before and after unless someone wants to sponsor me , trying to build on a budget here[:p]. I have a few dyno sheets from current setup last year and year before so they'll have to do.

I also plan on getting dizy re-curved and ignition system changed, so this could also add to things. But I want all that done before dyno tune as I'd be wasting my money otherwise.

I'll keep progress posts coming.

Rhys

Thats what I meant.. Before being last year or whenever (the one in the dyno section) and after being when you have it tuned

RS207,
These ones looked in great nick and came up at price I was willing to pay with a seller willing to ship to Aust. Not much more to it. I had the twin weber manifold but decided its not worth cutting up when I have a mate that can make me a custom manifold to suit the setup a little better.

Glenn,
Deal.

Andrew,
Will do.

Looking good. Custom manifold looks like it is coming along.

Hopefully the power out put and drive ability is better than the serria injection.

Their was a good artical in Classic Ford Feb 2007 about fitting Bike Carbs.

Cheers

Have been told that the later bodies that you have are a better design anyhow. I guess it's a case of establishing if you have the resources to make a custom manifold or try to source the individual bodies as mentioned above.

After looking around the Honda 1000RR bodies have a spacing of 85mm which is darn close to the 90mm of the DCOE so maybe it's possible to fit these easier to a weber manifold?? Not sure of availability or price though. The standard GSXR have a 75mm spacing from memory.

I have the latest CF also regarding fitting the bike carbs. Must admit the details are a little vague which seems to be the norm for this publication in general.

Keep us posted!

More progress. But Im still working on wiring and setting up all the hoses. Also gave up on the HQ radiator hose idea for the connecting hose between manifold and t/b's as I could only get one side on then not the other. So bit the bullet and bought 51mm//2" hose from Pirtek which looks 10times better and slid straight over. I just had to do it up real tight.

Now I've got to mount fuel reg somewhere and re-route fuel hoses but it's starting to take shape.

Sweet, I am glad that Magazine article came in handy for you. What air filter are you thinking of running and also does the lenght of the pirtek hoses suppose make any difference?

damn that looks good, great effort now just to see the results power wise, what more needs to be done to get it up and running?
