What was with the different wheels on the track? Special rubber or something?

Cheers Andrew, other rubber was to save my road tyres, couldn't get rears on as I magically lost 4wheel nuts to suit those rims [B)]. Would have been good to see if extra width at rear (225's) changed much. Didn't have any special rubber, both a just road tyres.

Happy to say last week I turned over my first 5000km since car and motor was rebuilt. For me it's a mini milestone to get the motor that far, seems like I built it ok. Still going strong.

Upgraded front brakes with vented/slotted items since last post, went with a new set of big bore pacemakers, fitted new carpet, changed gearbox and spigot bearing, front wheel bearings and rebuilt a rear wheel cylinder and put on new brake shoes.

Next will most likely be a rack rebuild, I've got a new rack and I want to install my quick rack gearing to it. Then a diff cnetre change.

Think thats about it.

I thought you had a pretty nice escort a while back, but its great to see your still making improvements to it. Can I please request heaps of pics and step by step info on your rack rebuild.. As I have the very same project waiting to be done, and there are one or two things I am not all that clear about.

That's more than I've driven my green one in the last year. [B)]

Gotta be happy with that. Good to hear, gives me hope that mine will be the same. A quick rack would be nice!

Had exciting arrival from USA this morning.

Suzuki GSXR 1000 throttle bodies. They look like they're new. Have pic of when I was comparing fit up against redline twin weber manifold. Angles are all wrong even if I were to use some form of flex pipe to join them.
Will get a custom manifold made up very soon and hope to turn these into a reality and piss -off the Sierra manifold to see if there is any gains made.

Yeah will be watching this very closely. Will be interesting to see what the gains are, if any!! Those T/B's look in top condition as well!

Good luck!
