I'm converting an auto mk1 to a manual, I've got all the parts except the bit of firewall that the clutch cable passes through.... Anyone able to help who may be in the process of cutting a manual shell up ? If cash isn't enough, am prepared to supply beer[:p]

The annoying thing is that I just took a 4-door manual shell to simms a couple of months ago[8~2][8~2][8~2] What I wouldn't do for a crystal ball.

I have a little firewall fitting to suit the mk1 clutch cable.

$30 including postage sound good?

The thing I found when I done one was the tail shalft gear box mount I used a mark 3 cortina one and welded some wings on to it to make it wider done a real good weld on it its still on the road--left the old tunnal in there

clutch cable passes through.... use a peace of pipe the right size weld a backing plate on it and weld id in the rigth place ---and the right angle for the clutch cable. ot fit into ok if you can get one well ond good ----have fun
