Does anyone have any experience with the ones at Burtons, only 36 pounds but look pretty basic.

Thanks Kev, would love to have a look when you've got it finished.

Yep sure do Darryl they are as follows.

Fronts - 861935 Sport

Rears - 802233SP1

By the way do you still have your front lowered springs laying around as I would be interested in what the the un-spung height is of spring, as I have 2 pairs of springs & would like to know how they compare to the lowered set you have hopefully still got & if they are lower than what I'll take them off your hands.

Kev.

The King springs are a progressive spring so unsprung they sit higher than my std springs but when you fit them in the car they sit lower so i'd say that measuring them unsprung prob no good to ya Kev

More than welcome to try them fitted

Steve, i reakon best thing that'll make a hugh difference are the bushes mate, do them first then work your way around

Daz can I organise to meet up & I will bring my 2 sets & do the comparison because I believe that 1 set are the same as the units you have but I am not positive. By the way Daz have you seen the latest edition of Street Machine because it has a feature story in it of Bill's new 1957 Fairlane in it.
Sure I will dig out the invoice & let you know what they cost.

Kev
I just took my springs out and the free length is 270mm which gave a hub to guard height of 290mm. Uniform coil pitch of 46mm so not progressive. Hope that helps.

Steve thanks for the info the set I believe I will be using are 255mm as they sit on the bench are also not progressive but I have not had these springs in the car so I have no idea what ride height that will give but the spring wire is alot heavier than the other set I have of which some one has cut & was very very low.

If you give me the dimensions I can calculate the relative deflection and give you a ball park figure. Just need wire dia and pitch and confirm that overall OD is 135mm.
