HI All,

I know these things are used much anymore, but now i'm using an ipod i kinda need one now - so i rumaged through my spares and have found 3 of them - all of them (at the back) having a bullit connection in the middle, and a spade slightly to one side, however, when i go to my manual it shows 3 connctions. A black wire to the spade (earth) a white and purple to the bullit and above that a red and white wire, which i'm not sure where it goes to ! Am i right in presuming some models had a light behind the lighter which would light up that clear plastic ring - or have i just got 3 wrong spares ?

There's a globe housing that clips into slots on the body of the lighter. If the slots are there then maybe you're just missing the globe housing. If not then might not be a Capri lighter.

ah great - thanks for that. I definitely have the slots as i was looking at them last night wondering what the hell they are for
so does anyone have one of these globe housings ?
