The next thing on my shopping list is seatbelts. I don't really want to spend over $400 for a set from you know who when places like Repco sell them for far less.
Has anyone gone through the process of sourcing new seatbelts? I plan on going retractable for all 4 seats if i can find ones that fit.

on my 69 Capri i installed retractables, however because the seat belt is mounted very low on the early cars it never really worked very well and i wouldn't recommend it. I went down the path of getting some original buckles and sending them to "seat belt solutions" here in Perth - they only charged me something like $250 to get them totally restored - the originals look much better in my opinion, if you get retractable from a car shop you wont get the retro looking belt material either.

Hi Paul,

I modified my 69 and installed the later model B-pillars so that I wouldn't have to put up with the low mount belts. I had low mounts in a VW Beetle many years ago and swore never again.

I'm not too fussed about original looking belts and I don't have the original buckles either. $250 is a very good price and a great option for the concourse restorer, I thought they would be much more.

just to clarify - i had to supply everything except the belting for that price - basically they just polished up the brackets and supplied the new belt
