Anyone out there have a capri brake master cylinder? Im assuming that v6 and fours are the same?

I have one you can have it you want it. 2nd hand and would need rebuilding. I can't confirm if they are all the same but mine was off a 4cyl.

From memory think it's 0.625" for 4cyl and 0.75" for v6. If thats wrong i'm sure someone will correct me!

Gentlemen, the Brake Master Cylinder is the same unit for both the V6 and the 1600 models with a diameter of 0.813in (2.06cm).

The rear wheel cylinders are different however, the V6 being 0.70in (1.78cm) in diameter and the 1600 being larger at 0.75in (1.87cm) in diameter. All figures quoted are from the original Australian Ford V6 and 1600 workshop manuals. Regards, Terry

There is one major difference in that the two brakeline fittings are different size threads, The Spanner size is the same but there is a 1/16" difference in the threaded pipe fittings between front to rear brake circuits. I recently tried to purchase a New V6 Master Cylinder and was informed no longer being manufactured, Best bet was to have an old one re-sleeved.

Is this a dual line system, or a single line?

It is a dual line master. UK models of the time only had single masters.

I found a shop in Caboolture that is capable of resleeving so that is what is being done.

I just bought 2 brand new master cylinders, at a place in fairfield for $160 each, they should have some stock soon.
