Cheers Kev,

the standard of work on the forum is ducks nuts so if im anywhere near that im stoked

You should start a thread in the projects for the orange beast?

I have an incredible itch to spash some of that orange enamel on something bolted to the donk - [88]

hot boost , no one has commented on our plenumchamber/ front window grill cleaning painting issue - i have found a thread thats not based on capri's but may help if your interested?

I would be interested in that link. All I can think of for preparing the plenum is to take it off but that scares me.

Gtv6,

i'll post the related site/s in a new thread ,

At this stage i cannot find it!

I have about three pages of capri info i think i may need at some stage

however i have not had the time to scan all of them

It was along the lines to what extent you wanted to go ?

sandblasting , elongated wire wheel to fit die grinder , taping the grill bars and letting loose with the gun fan closed up

i think ill be taking off the area below the rear windscreen and using the bolt on technique ala capri special, its just too hard to get right otherwise

i'll be sure to let you know when i find it mate [;^)]

Thanks
I have to take my back one off due to rust but am trying to avoid it on the front, but dont want to do all my prep and then get a sandy finish in there.

Im leaving mine on and I think will try the sandblast trick even if I only get the top coat of old paint off. They were never pulled part at the factory only ever had a blow thru of paint. If yours is anything like mine it will have all over spray of polish that will neeed to be removed b4 painting.. Im just putting in off at the moment and doing other stuff.

My concern with sand blasting is getting it all out. Worried about leaving garnet behind which might turn in to a corrosive mess once the rain gets in there.

How to you plan to get it all out?

Rain?? I dont plan to get mine wet..lol. Yeah I hear ya but I'm thinking blow out with air or suck out with a vac.. I dont know , but taking it off isnt an option for me.
