I have a 4speed escort box thats off a 2ltr. Bought it second hand and found out by a gearbox specialist that everything in it is buggered. would cost about 600 to repare. Not sure if anyone is interested but i dont really wanna take the box to the dump.
So does anyone want it for free? It has the bell housing.

It might be useful to me. I'm converting a Mk2 1600 auto to manual and have obtained a box from a breaker but haven't used it yet. I'm on the Sunshine Coast and if you've still got it would pick up from you obviously. It could be useul to me if I upgrade to the pinto engine in the future (not sure if the box and bellhousing are same for kent and pinto).

Hey mate, yehh you can have it. Im not sure about the bell housing, I bought it bolted on to a 1.6, but the guy said the box is off a 2ltr, so he mighta change the bell housing. Im not sure. But yehh I still have it. And your welcome to take it.

Do you have the rubber boot that goes where the cluch cables connects?

I am after one. Also the backing plate of the gearbox rail right behind the gearstick.
