Looking at ordering some Victorian Black and White rego plates to go on the mk2 escort project, (always looked better I reckon.) The car is a June '76 build so probably on the road in say Sept '76. Now we don't know the original numbers, so looking for something around then. I had a March 75 Fairmont that was ICT 772, so I am tinking that IRx xxx, may be about right, any ideas?

cheers

Why not get the correct plates?

VicRoads should have the details on file.

"1976 -IJD 445 to 1977 -ITA 643" somewhere in between there...
... If my calculations are right there is 257,198 number plates in that year. Assuming even distribution through the year, that would mean that by September 171,465 plates had been handed out. The month of September would hand out 21,433 plates between IPT 010 to IQO 443

My plates would fit in 1982... except that they are the wrong colour combo for that year, black/white, but they suit the escort better than white/green/blue. When I first got mine people thought that they were the original =P

Cheers.

Late "I's" would be pretty right for late 1976.

IRS-*** perhaps ....
