I prefer the look of the bumperettes myself, and like gazz said its a defectable offence if you get pulled

I'd go the shorty bumpers from a van, need to breakup the front profile a bit as well as keep it legal.

I prefer the bumpers on... been looking at a lot of street machine mags and the trend seems to be cutting down and recessing them. It seems mundane but even playing with the gaps and stock mounts for a few hours will produce a crisp finish....
I'd like to have a go at welding and intergrating them to the body, but I've got to finish my current project first.....

Defectable - yup, probably
Nice paint, but no carpark protection. Presume you are happy to respray after a slight bump when you've turned your back (like modern plastic bumpers.....grrrr).
