Reading around I found that "Made In USA" is a stock pinto cam, ill get the dial gauge out and do some measuring, but can anyone confirm that this is a standard cam?

how did you go with it? i have a standard pinto head with a cam with ford badges stamped in it, then i have a pinto that came with my rally car that has the same made in usa markings, but supposedly its not a standard cam.

The Ford badges would mean its a stock cam or atleast originally was (could have been re-ground) but Made in the USA are all non-factory cams which could have been ground to any cams spec, ie OEM type grind or something from mild to wild.

Doesnt look too wild.  But to check you dont need a dial gauge - just get calipers, and:

(height of cam lobe diameter / base circle diameter) *1.6

Convert to inches if you've been working in mm

Standard is about 0.4 inch of lift
