Im in the process of putting Sierra Injection on my pinto in my MK1. I know of a few guys on the forum who have done this. I have the Tear Drop Port Head and EEC-IV ECU plus Electronic Dizzy. Im going to get the head flowed and trace down a FR34 cam kit when I go to England later mid year. Any info would be appreciated ie. problems etc.

Hi Laurie, im interested too see how you with clearance from the top of the manifold and the bonnet,  I know of a mk2 van (very similar too a mk1 escort) that's injection manifold fouls the bonnet.
I also spotted a mk1 turbo escort early this year that was clearly having the same problems, 
When i had the manifold dummied on my van there wasnt much clearance for engine movement. 
 
I just thought i would mention this in case you havent already dummied it up.

Thanks for that. I have the manifold sitting on an engine on the floor at the atm. Doesnt look any higher than the standard weber with Redline airbox. Thanks for that info.

From my experience, the sierra inlet will be close but fit fine.  The only troblle I have seen is with the RS2000 bonnet and its extra brace.  If you do find it is too close, (aftermerket mounts etc) it is a simple job to slot the engine mounts slightly to lower the engine a tad. I did this for a little extra room on the turbo side.

the sierra efi manifold will come very close as escortinadriver said, also as he said to lower the engine mounts a little we did on a frienhs to prevent any vlose calls

i have a pinto turbo motor in my mk1 atm the engine clears the bonnet very slightly but had to put small notch in the strenthener as the throttle cam were the cable goes in rubs a little bit on full throttle and the engine is mounted on std rs2000 mounts running just over 200 bhp at 15psi of boost
