Hi all,
I bought a pad fitting kit for my M16 calipers and they use a different spring to the local cars (see image). With only 2 springs supplied in the kit, it appears that only one is required per caliper, versus the two smaller ones locally. I've fiddled around with these things for a bit, but am uncertain exactly how they are to go on. The only time I've seen similar springs used was with one of these on top and then a supplementary one attached to the bottom. Even attaching this one on top in that way looks and feels wrong though, and of course the bottom of the pad isn't secure. Any ideas?
Alternatively, are the springs used in Au still available, and if so, from where?
