I'm just wondering if anyone knows which is the in and which is out on this sandwich plate for my oil cooler on my xlfow.
I couldn't see in my manuals and books which way the oil goes in and out of the filter/pump.
I wanted the flow to go in to the top of the cooler and out at the bottom so need to know which hose goes where.

"dirty" oil flows from the outside through the filter and then returns "clean" in the center, thus in your photo the top port is the inlet

Peter; I piped the inlet at the bottom of cooler so as anti siphon valve in filter stops cooler drain over night, thus minimising" dry " running time when the engine first starts again as the cooler and piping to doesnt have to fill from empty.

That's an excellent point hendo. I was talking to MattyJ this afternoon and he said the same thing.
I was wondering which way was best to run things, so looks like its in at the bottom and out at the top. Thanks for the info.

I run my cooler horizontal and as low as I can get it to pump. Was able to shorten hoses considerably and certainly gets pressure quicker after long stand.
