4 gauges in-between the passenger vent and the fan controls. You'd have to drill into the dash but if the gauges are staying there then no problem, that's what I'm hopefully doing soon.

I got a gauge holder from Autobarn for $15.00 and it fits perfect.

i won a ashtray that has been turned into a  holder off ebay, someone has spent some time fitting a universal gauge holder in an old ashtray. maybe you could see if a plastics place could do this or you,

in one of my escorts the cente consol has been moved back. worked out to be a good spot for a spacer with guages

 
and for my other esky i remade the dash cluster.

Ive made a custom center console out of mdf as well it will hav 2 gauges in it and 3 will be mounted were the fan controls r it will be getting blanked off and custom metal cups made up to house the gauges

I think there might be picture of my centre console in my build thread im not sure...

only downside is the aim down a little, i dummy fitted them and id love them too aim up toward the roof a little more, oh well shouldn't complain
