We have created this very useful car power calculator for those of you that like to convert wheel power to flywheel power and vice versa.
Let us know what you think of it.

Interesting 🤔, I had/have an escort MK2 which was dyno'd with 117kw at wheels which in bhp at fly that's just on 191bhp , mind you I was running a 5sp and LSD so will accept 180bhp !

That's about the same as my RS2000 track car back in the day. It's a great level of power for a light car.

Nice yeah I do miss driving it like a loon. I did cheat a little by using 93mm pistons and offset crank which made 2176cc ! I still have the car with the bottom end but the head was sold to a local rally driver and he claimed it was the best cyl head he's ever had. BTW 117kw with twin 40s as well , the dyno man said it would get upto 125kw with 45s but road driving will suffer.
Went to Mallala Raceway with road 185/65/13 tyres/brake pads etc and my best lap was 1min 34s chasing a Dat1600 track car way back in 2004
