I picked up this vermillion fire v6 from Bendigo. A VERY  rusty car.  1/70 build. It had a low back white interior.

i started stripping it - the seats etc etc are stuffed. It had been out in he weather for decades.

anyway, here it is. Some new panels and a soda blast. Its a lovely shell now. The engine bay panelling is crisp and clean. The front seat belt mounting points are not in the B pillars but down in the rear quarters - as per 69. The washer jets are as per 69.

not sure whether ill ever finish it but i do like it

You keep finding them.

Just curious, any idea as to the total number of Capris you've owned over the years?

You never cease to amaze spud...
After all of these years and loads of Escort's and Cortina's I've only just 'found' my first Capri.
Its a V6, light blue in colour with some period hotrod parts, multiple weber's, wide wheels etc. Its been sitting since the 90's, unfortunately owner doesn't want to sell but I'll keep an eye on it.

Good score Stefan if you haven’t overpaid.
I like it too. Appears very rust free considering you say out in the weather for decades ??
Don’t see much rust for your description of VERY RUSTY!!!!!
Does engine run or need servicing b4 trying?
Or is PP missing?
Cheers & Merry Xmas 🎅 to ALL!

Yes I’ve owned a few.
Just curious - I wonder if one could determine which might be the earliest v6 delivered?
Attached is the ID rage off this one. It must be a very early shell.

Hard to say as there were 40 capri v6’s made in January 1970, and you’d need the details of all of them to determine conclusively.

The only record I have of another Jan 1970 capri is an engine (JE1027B).

Only 40!! A bad time as they were competing with gtho, GTS and the good old 6pack Val ...
A mate used to own a late 69 Capri here in Adel, can't recall if a V6 or not. And a customer rolled in with his gold 69 Capri which has the strut tower plates welded on as well as other bkts to strengthen the shell here n there welded on after assembly apparently.
This was back about 30yrs when I gave it a general service.

Spud would have 40 in his own stock currently!

Nothing wrong with a light blue Capri Drew.

Santa come early Bernie with a new keyboard?
It's missing all the usual hieroglyphics!

Congrats Spud on the new addition.
