The last conversion I did I used a pinto pickup pipe cut and shut where needed. I did one a while back where I made a speed bump along the side of the sump so the pickup can run along the side of the big end caps instead of under, this helped with height so the motor can be lowered a little more.
From the oil pump is a tight 90 so I've machined up a cap with the tube running straight out the side, similar to a compressor air fitting.
Fabbing a sump, start with a Kent 1.6 sump and cut the bolting flange off then make a new one from 2mm strap, suprising how close those sumps are.

yeah i thought about getting another random pick up and cut where needed.
the pinto pick up is almost $200 unless i found one second hand

i bought some steel tube and will try my luck mocking it up.
how thick should the tube be? shop only had 1.2mm
if i want 2mm i need to order it

I think 1mm will be all you need.
Trying to bend 2mm will be crazy hard even with a bender.

Jeez I'd better stop sacrificing Pinto oil tubes for zetec at that price .

I have seen, but unsure how effective it worked out is to use braided stainless flexy hose with AN fittings, the rose head was placed and secured with either metal rods or strap welded and bolted. This was seen in a hotrod mag years ago .
