The last conversion I did I used a pinto pickup pipe cut and shut where needed. I did one a while back where I made a speed bump along the side of the sump so the pickup can run along the side of the big end caps instead of under, this helped with height so the motor can be lowered a little more.
From the oil pump is a tight 90 so I've machined up a cap with the tube running straight out the side, similar to a compressor air fitting.
Fabbing a sump, start with a Kent 1.6 sump and cut the bolting flange off then make a new one from 2mm strap, suprising how close those sumps are.
