wow, i'm just catching up.
Damn good effort in getting the RWC done is a short time, especially so close to the finishline.
Plus that was a great way to celebrate at the Mountain.

You'll be a man of leisure now, just cruising around clocking up the kms.

Havent gone away, just been busy with life and in the middle of moving house. (Downsizing the shed!!!!)

I've now tried twice to post a detailed Cortina Nationals recap and lost the lot, so instead I'll post up a couple of pics and a super brief summary as I'm a little over it.  The weekend was amazing. Glad to have had a deadline and pushed to get there. Met loads of great like minded people and saw some really cool cars.  The wagon had a few teething issues, as to be expected, namely the generator wasn't charging and a strut insert retaining collar had wound itself out of the strut.  (Both were temporary fixed at the time and have since been addressed properly once home)

Met up and travelled in convoy, Enjoyed a cruise of the closed circut with over 150 cortinas, had a formal dinner with guest speakers and show and shine.

Have been enjoying the wagon and get loads of questions as nearly all have no idea what it is, or didnt know they existed.
Ive since done an alternator conversion and going through the original electrics and installing fuses (from factory there are NONE) and adding a few relays to things like lights and wipers. Still needs a few other niggles sorted, (fuel and temp guages arent alwas working) however its gettting there.

I've been having problems with posts too. Like its timing out. I tend to copy them and if it fails paste them straight away and it accepts it.

Anyway.... Thanks for the pictures looks like an epic trip. I've seen a few pics online but not much. There was a WA guy over there, Mk1 GT replica in grey, I'll be interested to hear how he went next time I see him.

Havent been on the forum in a bit as I've been busy moving into a new place.

Really enjoying crusing in the Wagon lately, however Ive definately got the itch to get back into building/finishing another now it's done.

Like many on here, due to my small ford addiction, I have a few to choose from.....  :)

Attached a a couple of pics from Small Ford Sunday 2026.

It was nice to drive there with a completed car this year, after trailering it there last year.

Also a pic of my old MK1 escort.  I havent driven it in 10+ yrs since I had kids. Was the last car to move into the new place.  May just be the next project...

Looks good next to the mk1 wagon , my mate flew over from Adel just for the day, he said the only drawback was the dry paddock environment setting. Hope the organizers can source a nicer ground. We have our Small Ford day this Sunday, it's good to be a melter 36 in the shade.
