Hey are those Focus MK1 rear caliper?

The listing said Cosworth but I doubt they're genuine, they look like a remanufactured item.

Crossmember is almost done, holes are dilled for moving the lower control arms, gusset is on and holes are drilled for the chassis mount, everything fits but I do need to elongate the holes a little more to center the member between the rails, then I can decide if I am going to add the upright section like the mock up above.

I was getting annoyed at pulling die grinding swarf out of my hands so decided to pivot and do something else for a while so in went the new sway bar brackets.

The reassembly is off to a good start - both of those mounts needed the holes adjusted because every escort is a special little flower, so it was back out to the die grinder to get the holes elongated . Got there in the end though!

Have you got any plans for treating the paint? Ceramic coating or the like. Only reason I ask is it might be worth doing the engine bay now while its empty. Its a bugger of a job if you decide to do it when everythings back in there.

Yep definitely have plans for PPF and ceramic coatings, didn't think about doing the engine bay but now that you mention it I will.

Speaking of engine bays now that I am back and working on the car I think its time to let the cat out the bag...

Well well well... what do we have here?

Back on the calipers, I was told that Sierra rears are the Focus ones, cross check the pads will say yay or nay..

Oh dear he's gone all hairdryer power! That intercooler is nearly as big as my Focus ST/RS one .
After I turbo'd my ute and then removed it recently I had read up on converting motors. For quick spin up is best to use a 2in or less dia tube into the turbo from the cooler, apparently it speeds air flow. Saying that, my ST225 has piddly 1, 7/8 pipes and boost is almost instant, with 20psi too!
Have you a turbo already or looking?

Still deciding on a turbo, will likely go with a Garrett GTX2860R Gen 2 or a Pulsar PSR2867R Gen 2. Both will get up and boogie, I want response and I'm aiming for it to spool before 3000 rpm and redline will be on or below 7000rpm. So I'll be sticking with a .64 housing regardless of the turbo I get.

I've got some more parts on the way so I'll talk engine soon. Turbo will probably be one of the last things that get purchased for the car.

Yeah had a looksy on the site. Using this means dizzy delete and coil packs . Would like to know how it goes fitting up. Mine will eventually run an Ocelot ecu, a speeduino offshoot, mainly price of about $220 . Honestly can't fathom those expensive $4000 ECUs that do the same thing , Gucci ecu !
