Those beefy alloy mounts are nice, sorry if you mentioned earlier but where did you pick them up from?

Ah yes I forgot to mention about the rack which got a rebuild at the same time as when deano done his. I bought 2 pairs of these rack mounts, the other set went on my mk1. I did buy from a random in UK eBay but these have the spacers needed to take up the slop under the rack. For about $20 more than neoprenes they'll last for ever and also look fantastic plus there's no rack float at all. Rally design on eBay might be cheaper than their website...

Thanks, I'm actually shocked that theyre not like $400  prices are getting out of hand, when I quoted everything up before I stripped the car down two years back all the prices have gone up at least 20%.

Rock Auto to the rescue, bought 6x rubber brake lines, 3 for rally pack and the other 3 for my mk1.
I bought the cheapest in the market but have great reviews so why spend extra on stuff that does the exact same job. Righto I'll give the heads up on what to look for if anyone wants to get them at a later date..
Mercury Capri from 1974-77, after that they went mustang but still called Capri. They're also metric threads but didn't come with nuts or washers, maybe the dear ones at $20ea did, not sure..
Go to the brakes column and search the type you want in price etc, front and rear are the same length.. these in the pics below cost a monster $9.50ea and a walloping $25 post which got here in 3 days from USA. Also they are DOT so are legally fine to use in Australia.

Pinto engine parts are there too but nothing aftermarket or turning, stuff like cam followers and valves, pistons etc, sure beats buying from UK and paying a house in freight

Great stuff, I need brake lines! so they will go onto the M16 calipers and to the diff? Wonder if they will go into the Sierra rear calipers too?

Threads are 12x1.5,( or 1.25) same as mk2 escort etc
These are from the body to the strut, running solid calipers wont need flex lines. Tho your Sierra back calipers you could search up Murker XR4ti , unsure if it's a Ford or Mercury brand car but essentially Sierra in USA.
Option 2 is use Focus mk1 rear lines, they're a 2pc flex line , as long as the bolt is the same thread your laughing

A small amount of progress on the rally pack this weekend..( yes I know I should be doing my mk1..) as there's a type of time limit to get it done before the owners widow falls off the perch. We spent most of Saturday sanding the fuel tank which was coated in shutz for some reason, anyways I ended using paint stripper and it came up shiny silver , it was then cleaned up and sanded with a DA sander to rough up the metal, it was then epoxy primed and later painted in satin black. Ok, it still has a few little dents but we decided to leave them there than attempt to pull them out and possibly make a dog's breakfast or puncture it.

Also while the spray gun was out I done the tank straps and spot bkts plus the front struts and the brake booster gantry

Next weekend we will try to get the suspensions back on the car and maybe start to install the sound deadening sheets.

Back to some 3D printing to modify the fuse block mount, this time it's got gussets to eliminate mounting flex and failure.
If anyone wants one to print send your email and I'll send the STL to you

It's designed to mount up on the kick panel in a nice hidden spot

With the slot in the engine bay are you just blocking that off or have you filled it in?
