I'm not sure Mark, I take a bundle in at a time, and usually cheaper as it's better for them, less changing about . They say it's best to clean out any oil, grease and paint for best results so the more you do the better the finish. I grit blasted my parts so he could get them done faster. I'll get them back tomorrow , he called as I was mowing the lawn... Better make sure I've enough cash in the till lol..

Is that your place getting a rinsing... Crocs, jeez, all we have here ducks and frogs to watch for.

How about we start a thread with adverse weather pics since the cars pages are idle ??

Good on the parts, please put up a before and after if you get a chance.

On the flooding that's the view out of our driveway. The river is at the end of the street you see flooded.
Just funny to see ducks swimming down the road!
Fortunately no crocs here, we are a couple of hours south of Sydney

Funny about the ducks swimming around, near my place there's a house which has free range chooks on the front lawn(not fenced) and the attract ducks like nobody's business, this morn there was prolly 50+ ducks mingling with the chickens on the lawn !

I recently got my anodizing back and they came up great, here's pics on them still in the bucket !

If anyone needs bits done give DC Anodizing a call, they're in Salisbury. All the parts on the bucket cost only $140 but I gave him $200 as I thought his price was too cheap !!

Marty, the problem with forums is the tyranny of distance
They look better than new
Cause honestly I would take the whole car and get it anodized! Wonder if the tub is large enough
Goo don you for giving the tip, shows appreciation of what someone else's efforts.

Yes Mark, sometimes I come across a decent small business that others on here could benefit from.

We been busy (slack) lately with the panelvan full roof lining. Last satdy we was meant to get it completed but only got 2hrs on it which was interrupted by another friend coming to collect his caravan, after that little stoppage we got back into roof lining mode. Since the van didn't have a full lining I had to make the rods as we went along, and drilling holes in the inner frame as original. Hoping it should be completed this weekend and move on to the carpet..

I was looking for stuff for my Escort build last week and checked the MST site , I found a second hand wcxm for £50 (no engine mounts) , obsolete strut bars for £20ea so I bought 2x of them and a wcxm, while there I bought a grp4 steering knuckle so i placed the order, postage came to £120 .
Here it is.. It stayed in the kitchen for a few days till the misso got shirty lol...I can't see a problem with it..

Bit of a byproduct paint parts day today. I recently purchased a low km mk1 Focus 3dr in silver, the exact same silver my previous 4dr focus was and I bought paint for color coding the black parts, kind of handy !
So when painting the outer flats of the grill I had a little bit spare in the gun, a quick run around and found the stone guards which screw into the foot well. I don't know if they'll stay that color or will do them the cars color later on, will see..

And this is the grill I painted to look like the st170 grill

As the car is low kms for its age, it wasn't properly kept, things like cam belt, p/s fluid etc have not been changed, it only had a oil change every 30k, and had just had it's 5th change before I bought it. I've owned 2 of these zetec focus's before (1 was a ST170) and know them almost as good as Escort!
And because I've owned them before I've bought up on tuning goodies so when I do the belt, I'll install adj pulleys, maybe cams etc, big brake kit, adj suspension, anyway it'll not distract me from the coup but some things need doing before it becomes my daily.

We got the full roof lining finally done on the van yesterday, considering I also made all the roof rods as well, the finish came up really good .

nice to see you got in trouble Marty for contaminating the fruit bowl with engine mounts, and not for buying another project car.
Silver will look factory under there, leave it I say.
Nearly time for topcoat!

Yeah ok I'll keep them silver..
A long way from topcoat, the cold days reduce my shed time by 90% unless really required. Longer days gives some enthusiasm but that's a month off yet.
The missus sometimes moves my stuff away and I've got no idea where they'd gone to lol, if I don't catch her, the parts disappear into the most stupidest places ..!!

Good progress Marty, had to chuckle at the parts on the kitchen table, I'm looking at some shiny bits on top of the TV cabinet as I type

Plating came up well, those little details make a big difference, having a go at doing it myself at the moment.
Enjoying the thread, keep up the good work.
