Hi Guys, Im looking for cams to suit 2.0 blacktop, has anyone had experience with some of the cams advertised in the US. Some ads say suits hydraulic lifters and other ads say the same p/n suits mechanical. Im confused. Anyone used Crower or Comp in  a blacktop with good results. Cheers Peter.

99% of their cams are to fit blacktop. I've bought heaps of their cams new and s/h , I still have a few sets, also adj cam wheels. Also have 2 or 3 CNC Ford Performance heads and other crazy Zetec go fast stuff.

As with good results with cams alone, maybe 20-25bhp up, you'll need to raise compression and tidy ports up and go better induction.
I put Esslinger blacktop cams in my silvertop and they worked fine, it was running on R1 bike carbs with 118kw/wheels @ 7100 rpm , approx 180-190 @flywheel.

Zetec don't like high lift on std springs so it's a good idea to upgrade them before valve to piston action occurs..

Hi Marty, sounds like youve had quite a love affair with the zetec. My current setup is stock 2.0 with bike carbs and retroford exhaust. Have you got any fast road bits to sell. Nothing too crazy. Cheers Peter.

Yes I've had lots to do with Zetec and steered more to what usa got upto with them.. UK is over hype and over price for fast bits. I agree their cam technology is above usa but for $900 a set... No.!
Some go fast bits I have in stock are adj cam pulleys from Focus Central, AEM etc, a while bunch of cams, new or nearly new, 1 set of heavy v/springs from a Vauxhall corsa gte , new and nearly new alloy flywheels(these are great in escort) , I even put one in my 03 Focus sedan and became very lively. A few cam belt kits. Ford Motorsport alloy intake manifold, a bolt on supercharger from Jackson Racing, CNC machine ported heads x2 maybe 3 . A carbon fiber cam cover. Eagle conrods and piston sets. That's most of the stuff I can think of now . I kind of went on a spending frenzy about 15yrs ago when the usa$ was equal to ours ..
