I did run out of copper tube, not quite enough to do the drivers front strut.
And one flare ended up getting redone as it looked a little iffy with a notch in it that probably would have leaked:

But overall, I can nearly tick that job off once I find some of the clips that hold the tube to the firewall:

Has anyone spotted these for sale anywhere?: handbrake lever boots for 8" drums.
I have one that survived, but they seem to be different to the common 9" version, specifically where the handbrake stop plugs into the rubber, on the larger one the stop plugs into the lever itself. With my luck it would be picked up come rwc time.

Escort ones might be hard to find for your drums, and if it's too pass Vicrods mot I found this option for Valiant, I reckon it'll fit with some minor adjustments.. think outside the box..

yes, maybe.
even further outside the box, since its only a dust boot,I was thinking of possibly chopping the fingers from  a rubber dipped or nitrile glove and cable tying it on if need be.
The flex filament i have is another option.
Pity its not glow in the dark flouro filament, that some people  use for things.
Might start a new trend.....

for 10 points, and a share of the lead, does anyone know what these brackets are and where they might go?
They did have a fair amount of surface rust, so i'm guessing maybe somewhere under the van?

10 points to me, yay yeet what .
They brackets go at the back inner side which cover a sort of protector for the lights in that cavity. I think they were not used after 77ish as I can only see then on my mk1 van, the other 3 are 78 and 79s

ah ha, i would not have guessed that's what they were for.
I'm suprised how rusty they were for that spot, given the floors were in good nic.
I was planning to run the cabling inside the sidewalls of the van anyhow.

Thanks marty, 10 points are in the mail.
