What is the tallest filters that will fit under the bonnet on a mk2 rs as I need to get some filters to suit 44 idfs has a world cup crossmember looking at k&n style

I'm using these, standard crossmember, RS bonnet.

They're about 50mm high (give or take) There was a larger one available but from memory it was going to be a very close fit so I went the safe option. One way is to make a cardboard box the size of the filter you're looking at and see if the bonnet squashes it when closed.
Theres lots available for the vw's with IDF's but take note of the length, the Escorts sit side by side whereas they are on different sides of the vw boxer engine so length for them is not an issue.

Thanks for that currently have twin 45s on car and wanted to have all the parts ready when i change them over to the 44s
