I haven't seen anything different from my car, mine has the adjustment lever at the front.

A couple of mine have those seat mounts - but very late builds

The front mounts are so far from normal look even spot welded to the cross brace. Never seen theses before.

No they r actually mig welded in from the factory- not spot welded

I had a Feb 72 V6 with the same front seat mounts (side chrome lever style front seats). The welds looked scrappy from a mig or stick not a spot welder. I thought they were modified at first.

Love a yellow glo v6. Lovely combo

Neither of mine have them at August 72. Or Ck17Me numbers. Must have been a retrofit I would think. Maybe a dealers fitout if they came from the same area. Or Ford themselves trying different things.

From my looking into it there doesn't see to be any pattern or logic. I have seen a number of 71 and 72 models with both types of seats (low and high lever) with the did different seat mounts. Looks like the parts bin was a mix of both types of high backs during this period.

Great to see another Capri undergoing a resto. Will be a nice car when it's done and worth the effort.

I wonder if SMCKA would consider stocking the arch repair sections if there was enough intrest, may be worth a phone call.

If it helps re; the mounts, it is a 12/71 build.

Now I just need to stay focused and motivated to keep the momentum
