Hi Len,
I think 'palamino' was available with a few of the exterior colour options but haven't seen one it the flesh yet. It's grown on me and I think it'll be a nice change from the black interiors my other cars have.
I've got the extension and linkage rod but it was missing the stick so I got the bush kit and made one myself. Still need to build a couple of mm's of weld on the bottom so that it gets the reverse lockout tab a bit better. Worst case you can buy them but they're not cheap.
Cheers Drew

Drew, Give us a yell if you get stuck, I think my brother might still have one.  Have you got the console as well ?  Cheers, Len

Cheers Len Pm sent.
Had a look at the car on monday, he's giving it a final block down and paint will be flowing, as we speak probably...
The postmans been busy too. The Aldridge interior arrived, door trims are fantastic as well as the front and rear parcel shelves and kick panels. There was a difference in the pattern of their seat cover sets so I had material from the same roll as the door trims sent over and I'll have them done locally.
Got the carpet too, the original was chocolate brown but I went for a lighter shade called caffeine that almost matches the vinyl.
Also picked up an original style (not rubber) boot matt and had a heap more powder coating done.
The headers for the engine should be here any day now and they'll go straight back out for ceramic coating.
So bar a few hardware items that should be most of the car ready to put together, I know I'll have forgotten something though, I guess we'll find out soon haha.

The "Ugly Duckling " is maturing well!
I like your choice of interior color, It's nice to see you have stepped away from the norm of black, it will look great when installed.
Looking forward to the next update.

Thanks Blue, not quite a beautiful swan yet but getting there...
So the car came back today, I was a Bit upset that it hadn't been buffed and compounded but after a chat with the painter he owned up to having had a mild stroke a week back and that he was having problems with one of his arms. Being a tough old schooler and fearing loosing his licence (he also has a tow truck) he thought he'd suck it and see but has had to seek help.
So we'll see how he is in a few weeks and if he can't do it he'll oversee me compounding and buffing it.
All in all its not come up too bad, we went to a lot of effort to match the original Sunlit Beige colour and its growing on me. It's quite gold in full sun, as you move down the side it lightens up a fair bit and in the shade the metal flake gives it a dusty silver appearance.
The superlites went on for the first time today aswell.
I'm holding off putting the exterior back together for now but theres plenty of painting to do on the underside floors and I'll also have the suspension etc powdercoated and zinc plated while I'm waiting for the final work on the body.
Cheers Drew

Drew,That will polish up a treat, very nice. Finally got hold of my bro the other day, no sign of the gearshift and the console very ratty, condition has obviously deteriorated since I last saw it. Sorry, mate! Len
