Mmm nice when done properly. It's just easier to take the plunge than doing it half heartedly. More time for more reward.
Like your metalwork skills.

Work has slowly started on the drivers side, I originally didn't think it looked as bad as the Passengers side however it will be easier to perform the same style of repairs than fit patch pieces only to have problems in later years. Although the sill looked OK, after feeling how soft the passengers side was from years of surface rust on the inside making it thin in places, a new sill has been purchased courtesy or SMCKA.

The floor and toe panel have been made up and fitted, I have now removed the A pillar to remake then sill and scuttle, the work continues.

This is one of the reasons I made the comment in the rusty scrap metal post a few days back- you boys are putting in a huge amount of metalwork into these old girls to bring them back to life- nice work!  Len

the skills you guys have got spins me out.
Whether it's the courage to cut out sills, inner guards or making your own panel press molds, it's pretty cool.
Then there's those that know all the mechanical stuff.

From someone who knows little of either, but enough to get into trouble, thanks for sharing what you do.

Thanks for the kind comments and encouragement. When I see the handy work of others on this and other forums I really feel like an amateur however watching what others do gives me lots of ideas to work with.

The latest update is the RH A pillar is made, using some highly technical CAD work (Cardboard Aided Design), to get the shape right it came up fairly well and a bit quicker since it is the second one  (LH side being the first) I have made.
