I've been looking at trade me NZ quite a lot and some one there does recovers quite reasonably priced but haven't seen mk1 standard only facelift unless someone can prove me wrong. Worth a look though. Keith but I will show you a pic of my white capris seats there comfy. Keith

Ive also bought a Capri that originally had a Vinyl roof I'm unsure whether to replace it. Its meant to be diamond white with Vinyl roof but unsure on costs and who could do it ,but like yours in many ways. Reason I'm thinking this way is I've already got the diamond white auto with no vinyl so it would be a point of difference with this new one. Might like to see more pics of white ones with the vinyl roof before spending the extra money but Gees yours makes me think. Keith

I thought D-ports had the radiator fan bearing directly above the crankshaft.
Any comment anyone ?

Dports do have the fan spindle in the centre of the front cover. However the early offset spindle cover will fit, the only mod necessary is that the strengthener behind needs to be trimmed to miss the later nylon and steel cam gear. This can be an advantage as the offset spindle allows for a 14 inch electric fan put behind the radiator. This is enough to keep the beast cool as the maximum 12 inch fan in front of the radiator cant quite cut it. In cooler climes the 12 inch fan in front might do depending on engine tune. Its amazing how much more air a 14" fan will shift than a 12" fan.

Interestingly if you work out the areas a 12" circle has an area of 113 sq in's as opposed to a 14" circles area of 154 sq in's, there is an increase of 25% more give or take some ,I think.

Hi Bernie,
Yes thats me in the middle with son Jono on the left.
I have recently recovered the seats with black roebuck and cloth insert as per original and more detailing in the engine bay so its looking pretty sharp.
Next on the list is to detail the interior including a new heater core.
