The regulator is necessary for constant flow of fuel at the right pressure.
Adjustable Gaz shockers to make the best of the rear.
The brakes are a fantastic mod and should be considered a must have.

V and P usually means that it is a supplementary number issued by Roads Corp, usually when the ID of a car has been removed or cannot be traced.  More than likely this number could be traced and lead to the car (most likely once stolen and recovered with the body numbers filed off, or like a 69 70 capri that had the VIN on the slam panel that was replacec in a smash.  )

yep think your spot on .. with the p on the end could be a police stamped number i know working in the mtr trade use to see a lot of em that had numbers etc with p at the end or begining from stolen cars recovered or mtrs ..
maybe check police records might let you know

JR. There is a complete motor for sale on gumtree. The block castig number starts with 72 so it must be a dport engine which among other changes has thicker cylinder walls allowing for safer over size bores.

I think that's the motor in the Gold Coast. He has imported two of these fully rebuilt from South Africa and from what I've seen they do good work on these old motors. If I had the money I'd buy it but he helped get me Pistons at the same time which were $400 all up which helped me out. He's fixing up his Cortina Perana at present. Good guy.
