Yes, my car came with extras such as radio, vinyl roof, driving lights 6" rostyles(rostyles still on it.) No sunroof tho. I also fitted aftermarket steering wheel, lumenition ignition, davies thermatic fan, louvres, bib spioler, stereo. Same stereo still in car 28 years later......amazing. gtv6capri, the gearbox is similar to mk1 ford aust. only changing 2nd gear ratio. I will be posting up pics as soon as my son teaches me how. Regards, Ron.

Its been raining most of this week in qld so i cleaned up the shed ,put the capri up on stands and getting ready to start the rebuild. Yesterday i got into removing the front left guard. I wanted to start there as i knew the worst rust on the car was there. Armed with spot weld drill, hammers and chisels etc and knowledge gained on this forum the guard came off relatively easy. As i thought, plenty of rust on the outer part of the a pillar. Looking from behind, inner structures are fine. So now im starting to realize what it means to own a classic ford. At least im going to be a very experienced welder soon. Pics soon. Cheers,...ron.

so you have the tools for the job already then

it doesnt look too bad, could be worse, my old Capri was terrible in that area, one reason why i sold it. big mistake.

still is confronting when you pull them apart and see the rust. plus a tad scary cutting it out too. i am about to cut off both rear wheel arches on a 1963 falcon coupe and replace them

I recieved a BSS customised Ford badge in the mail last week.(thanks JR) Here is a pic of the badge and also one of the original on the car. That bloke is my nephew who was the third owner, pic is about 1980. Also note that original colour of back panel is black not argent.

Bad mark one Escort, hunt this car down and get the numbers from the build plate. I can verify because i have a copy of all numbers. ( There were only eleven of these cars built, not sixty five as previously thought.)
