Hi Owen,

Any details on the wild violet car, price etc? I'd also be interested in finding a 1970 GTV6 if possible.

Cheers

Jamie

Sad to hear the purple car above has been stolen. There must be some sort of trail to the crook.
It looks like some insurance is a must but besides not wanting to lose the car at all then we must be careful in not advertising where we live.

Any car stolen is not a good story, but something like this will hit a nerve with all of us. As Ron mentioned, and also as a practising insurance broker, I can only support Ron's comments that we all ensure these cars are correctly covered. Too often I see the other side of uninsured losses which is never pleasant. As demand for these cars continues to rise, it will only emphasise the rarity of clean original examples. It's probably where selling forums such as Shannons Auctions and Australian Muscle Car Sales can demonstrate their worth. They keep the owner and usual vehicle location silent. No one wants to go through the stolen Wild Violet scenario.

I know a small bit about the deal it's not the dud cheque scenario, but a swap deal gone bad, the car is still with it's new owner. Also there is a lengthy thread re this car in the cars for sale section perhaps a moderator should cut the last few posts and paste them there so we dont hijack Rons thread
