Amazing car mate.. looks stunning. I like the stock looking exterior with tastefull wheels, nice ride height. Even the glass looks great haha.
Must shock a few people off the line?

Andrew

Thanks Andrew, It does suprise everyone as it looks stock and is quiet...until I hit the loud pedal.

RS 2000I now have factory speedo working with Sr gearbox, although showing slightly higher (Adr requires it to be within 10%), it is in spec as far as complying with ADR is concerned. I have a few ways of getting it spot on but for now its all good.

Interested to know how you managed to get it working. SR box has electric sender if I'm not mistaken. What parts did you use to get the Escort cable speedo working?

Yes stock SR speedo sensor is electric, but I used mechanical speedo drive and custom speedo cable to get it working.

here is a pic of the 2 items needed for conversion.

Cheers

Nice, Sounds like we'll have a few finished eskys to cruise around this summer.

Yes, to get the speedo going You will need mech. speedo drive and a cable to suit,as per pic in the previous post.

RS 2000
Been a bit slack last couple of months, but managed to do a thing or two in preparation for Regency.
Finally sorted out the 'Fuel box' in the boot, ended up going with an ally box with a hinged lid for easy access and reused all my existing pumps, surge tank and filter but had to re-do the hoses as everything had to be compactly mounted. Also installed Moroso sealed battery box and moved brake bias adjuster.
All thats left is couple minor things, get the windscreen washers working and charcoal canister mounted and connected.
Here is a few pics of the new setup

Thanks mud,
Charcoal canister mounted and connected, washer bottle all sorted just waiting on some jets to arrive..... that will make the car officially ready for Regency

Couple weeks ago I picked up a dash pad on gumtree, and finally replaced the eyesore of my old carpeted dash pad.

Good news everyone, the long awaited Regency modified vehicle inspection was passed this morning and as of today the RS is fully street legal !!!! The inspection itself was straight forward and everything went as planned, it actually took just as long to queue up at registration office next door just to change the engine number. So glad it's finally legal and I can drive without any worries.

Cheers
