Ok, so I contacted Jasen with the moonstone RS and he's in, so that makes 5 so far.

I've sent of a few emails and sms messages to the other 2 or 3 up here so we'll see how we go. You NSW and Vicorian guys need to harrass the Siera owners down there and get them onboard

I'll shoot off a short email to the Muscle Car Master organisers to see if they're happy to accomodate us if we can get our poo poo together.

I've contatced a few other guys and whilst they'd love to make it happen they just aren't willing to drive their cars that far. That's completely understandable and to be honest I'm starting to think the same way. If there were 20 of us making the trip then it'd be worthwhile but I can't really see that happening.

So for now, I think I'll can the idea of trying ot organise a "national" gathering and just concentrate on something more local like our 50th Anniversary of Touring Car meeting at Lakeside in August. By all means, if anyone wants to drive up from NSW to join us feel free

I thought I'd give this topic a bump! Is anyone else still keen to make this happen or, alternatively, if we can organise another event (which is reasonably central) to give as many cossie owners the opportunity to attend. I think the Sydney area is the most central for everyone in QLD, NSW, VIC & SA? What's everyone else's thoughts?

Hey Matt,

I'd love to organise a national gathering of some description at some point. I still think the Muscle Car Masters is the obvious choice, given the central location, the great field of group A and C cars they get and the event in general. I sent an email off to the organisers of the Muscle Car Masters and received quite a positive response. They were willing to give us a dedicated area to present the cars, and with some negotiation I may have been able to organise a parade lap or two.

Unfortunately due to short notice and a lack of numbers it didn't happen this year, but with a bit more forward planning, perhaps we could organise a gathering at next years Muscle Car Masters to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the RS500?

As you know I live in Adelaide but I will come over to Sydney if we can plan ahead and get enough people to attend, I think we need to plan it very carefully as we dont have air con and who wants to drive 1500 Ks in the wet so with a bit of thought I am sure we can make it happen. It would be an awesome sight to see so many cars in Australia all at the same time

With 2012 being the 25th anniversary of the mighty RS500, I'm going to try and organise this gathering again. Still at the Muscle Master Masters on September 2nd.

Who's interested?

The RSOC has now jumped on board with the idea and are making arrangements to get this happening. This will be an awesome weekend of driving, eating and drinking and the opportunity to catch up with other RS owners, and watch some awesome machinery on track.
Not to mention probably the biggest gathering of Sierras in Australia EVER!

Bowdens have always been big supporters of this event, so we're going to approach them to see if we can persuade them to bring along either of the DJR or Longhurst Sierras.

Still looking for more cars though to really make it viable. Matt, Dave, Tristan, Linc, Graeme?

This event is a goer. RSOC have organised a club display and free entry for the owner of each car. We are hoping to get 35-40 cars and obviously as many 3 doors as possible.

Be there

Still looking for as many Sierras as possible to attend this event. The RSOC have organised a great spot for us at the MCM event, and at this stage we're looking at about 12-15 Sierras amongst about 30 cars in total. Even if you're not an RSOC member I'm sure something could be worked out.

This may be you're only chance to see 15-20 Sierras all in one place in Australia, be a part of it!

Paul.
