Just thought I would post some figures from my new engine. I set out too build not the most powerful, but one that would be happy in everyday use and still be fun on a hill climb but also stayed with tradition
As this is my first try at engine design I feel really happy in achieving what I was trying to do as the car is a pleasure to drive even around town and great fun in the twisties
specs are as follows
Kent mild road cam kit
Head with standard vales modified as per Des Hammills book
New 40mm DCOE Webers
H&H electronic distributor
Adjustable cam pulley
Bore 40tho oversize with standard pistons
Balanced bottom end with APR bolts
Lightened & balanced flywheel with APR bolts

Very good Regs.
It should be good for a high 15 sec time over the 1/4 mile.
Good luck with it.

So do I get on the pinto power leader board now? I know 76kw isn't much but it's made me happy as my goal was 100hp at the back wheels

Ran at the casino airport summerland drags, best of 10.52 for the 1/8th mile with an open diff & street tires thought that was quite respectable
