Mickas, 250mm on the nose, looking down on the tower the closest curved part to the inlet manifold mating face.

it kinda depends how high or low they go from the head horizontally. Surely theres another way. cut n shut? I'll be fitting short stack ram tubes to the carbs as the previous set are to long.
Haven't bought them yet but there on feebay all the time for about 100 a set.

Looking at mine I recon it's 280mm straight out from the head but closer to 250mm as you get up towards the top as the strut top intrudes slightly.

Might wait for a dummy fit before doing rash decisions costing money...

I think my plenum will sit under the strut hump on the side. My manifold, throttle boddies and plenum come straight out and don't angle up like your carby manifold. Being that the section under the strut bump what is the measurement there or is that what you gave me?? I could shave up to 15mm in total in areas....

Yeah Toyo's, they are sick, better than advans I reckon, good grip straight away, were the advans need more heat. There is a fair bit of room in the front, good for weight distribution, my gearbox mount has sucked the engine back into the tunnel by half an inch. But heaps of room for radiatorand thermo, will run the oil cooler infornt of the rad.
pics of clearance

the other question is where to put the oil cooler?????
Struggle city with this one.....

Well, its running, hip hip hooray!!! the cooler is mounted, not so sure obout the vct yet, I have played with it today and seems to run ruff when its turned on. Will have to spend some time at the dyno to figure it all out it hink.
I had a moment of madness a metal clank on cranking, could'nt be a problem surely! Turns out it was a bent alt fan that was touching the housing. What a relief.
I will post pics and vids as soon as my PC stops being a pain.
