Finally painted the struts in Mandarin (Ford BA), miss-tint color i got cheaply




The inserts are Jappa, Tokico's..., they were in the struts and are fine , way better than Monroe's!

Excellent struts marty. They look great, and will certainly stand out being that colour

Are they mk2 Cortina struts? Or are you using Escort gear? Either way they look like they'll do the job!

Thanks Hak, the struts are from a 1600 mk2 Escort. I'll be using lots of Escort parts in this build , wiring loom, dash, fuel tank(maybe). I'm deciding on calipers to use, either Volvo's which i need to space out for venteds or Wilwood, which also need spacing and mounts to adapt!

A bit early for buying a gear knob but at $45 from uk its worth it !


Brake pipe is copper/nickel widely used overseas, male and female brake line connectors, new..enough for 4x cars here !

only one ive seen is for $1200..

would definately be intrested in one for that price. was that for anglia or all english ford diffs?

anglia 105e came out with the English axle only, same as your mk2 Escort with the only difference being width and ratio's.
I paid $800 for the LSD as it is 2nd hand, might have been less. The Quaife in my mk1 cost me $985 new tho it was almost 2yrs ago, then there's $100 for brgs, crush tube & seal! if you dont know how to set them up it will cost more for installing the unit!

What fun you've got ahead, yours looks like it's got rust in all the usual places! I'm still looking for a grille and some mouldings, anyone know whwre I can find them?
