I must say that they look awesome in black, albeit the bumpers and grill need to be painted to they match.

I think Jason whom used to frequent these forums has a Factory black 2Dr over here in SA.

Yes that is true, his cousin owned that car who is the same person I got my RS from. I might have to ask Jason's cousin next time I see about how that RS is going.

There were two black RS's here in perth, not factory but dealer produced JPS (john player special) mock ups made by Challenger Ford. They were a two door and a four door with gold decals and JPS logos. I saw the four door in the flesh parked up in a carpark in the mid 90's and later saw it advertised for the ironic price of $2000..... I still kick myself for passing it up and wonder where it and the two door are now......
Incidently the same dealer made a two and four door turbo model in white, I know the four door no longer exists after a friend owned and wrote it off, although we still have the compliance and chassis number.....

Peter Warren Ford in western Sydney did definitely have a special order of ten black 2 door RS2000's.
Labelled Peter Warren Specials were sold in the last days of the RS2000.
One of my friends bought one new from Peter Warren Ford in early 1981.
It had a large RS2000 decal in silver and pink runing along the lower sides of the car between the wheel arches.
The compliance plate colour code just said BLACK.
Stunning car and firmly etched in my memory.
