Driving home.. Huge bang!
Never had this one happen before, was cruising along up the last hill to home and then a huge bang followed by some big engine noise.
Clutch in, pulled over and engine off, explained to the missus that this could be very bad.. Had a look in the bay to find this in #3!
The other half disappeared about 100 meters down the road and its 35 degrees so I couldnt be bothered looking.
Accuspark 3 ground plugs by the way, I have contacted them already.

I'm running the dizzy and coil on the 2.0 mk2 here, and been faultless so far... Possibly a dodge plug, they got back to me on email and are going to send a new set of sparkies, but I'll be hesitant to install them...

I have seen this quite a few times with lots of different makes of plug, can be caused by faulty plug grimping or overheating of plug. I know a guy who fitted a lawn mower plug in microlight engine and this happened (lucky to be alive) with overheating plug.
