My RS2000 street regoed V8

Hi all
 
im new here and thought id introduce my self and my car. Its a 76 RS2000 with a v8 conversion that is engineered and regoed in SA. Im currently running a Cleveland V8 with a rollerrized reversed pattern 6 pinion etc C4 transmission and a 5,000 rpm stall convertor. rear axle is a shortened 9 inch with moser axles and a strange mini spool centre with 3.77 gears.
Its awesome fun to drive and shocks a few people on the street when they realize what its about.

Neat looking Mk2 looks a handful in the corners.

its actually not that bad considering. the weight split is 53 % front and 47% rear so its really a mid mount as the motor sits behind the front cross member. Not saying its perfect considering it weighs 1250kgs and has 679hp.
the Porsche in the pics would get me in the corners but id pull away easy when it straightens out

ive seen a few photos of this over the years. always wanted to see it in the flesh.
 
Awsome car mate. 600+bhp would be intense.

ill keep my eye out on here and get to a cruise maybe. Do you boys go on Jafs last cruise?
or I might be going on the tough car charity run this weekend.
 
And yeah its not like its a relaxing thing to drive, its on edge the whole time

Yeah a few of us went to the last jafs cruise. I didn't take the Esky last yr though as it wasn't finished.

Keen for a cruise this summer now the car is regod.
