Dave's MK2 RS2000 2 Door
Hi Guys,
Ill post up a bunch more pics soon of the rebuild, but just wanted to put this up for people to see the car finally with plates on it.
A huge thanks to everyone who helped me out along the way. So many people. What a great community.!.
The exterior is yet to be done. It currently sports original snow white paint, complete with scratches and blemishes. Interior and engine bay have been taken care of.
Feel free to question / critique as you see fit :).

Great stuff mate,
Great to see it all sorted out finally. I love it when someone finishes a project and then gets to enjoy the car.
Is that a standard cast iron exhaust manifold? You rarely see them.
C u Sunday.

Sure is a standard exhaust manifold. Modern day power governor.
I do have some headers and a big exhaust lying there ready to use. But I think its time to start my other project car :). Its been sitting there gathering dust, and I feel sorry for it!.
Its great fun to drive though. Not half a bad as a thought it might be!.

Looks great Dave, nice to see another one back on the road
Did you go with the Falcon alternator, if so was there much difference in size?
Happy cruising Drew..........

Drew, I ended up grabbing one off a mate. Cant remember the brand etc but can find out if you like. I didn't go with the falcon one at this stage.

Hey Shep,
This vent is from an aftermarket airconditioning of some description that I removed from the car. With the blower for the aircon in, it meant I had to sacrifice the glovebox, which I didn't want to do.
One day I will get around to repairing it and repainting the dash face.

ah I thought as much. Aircon, definitely underated in an escorts black interior!
