Electric cars for kids

What is the best one to buy,i'm looking at a jeep type electric one,buy they only get 45min of driving time and 2 hour recharge time.Is this a good buy at $ 299 And no i cannot find a Escort 

That is actually a decent run time, a lot of batteries go for about 15 or 20 mins and it's about the mark for a standard charger. It's not a bad price either. If it is from toys r us or a chain like that, go to a proper hobby shop and you'll get a better car with replacement parts available as well as upgrades. I have a traxxas stampede 4 x 4 monster truck, it was a little bit more at $450 though. For the kids it is great cause it can go anywhere, take a lot of punishment, easier to drive being 4 x 4, and still do a decent speed. The kids love the wheelies it can pull too. Jump on you tube, there are lots of cars on there and you'll get an idea of what they can do.

Teeg I think he is talking about one for the kids to ride in rather than an RC one to play with.
