RS1800 Auction UK

Nice car with an interesting back story.
"Originally registered to Ford Motor Company Ltd. on 19th May 1976, this is a very special Escort RS1800. Out of the 109 cars that were built, there were five Press cars, owned by Ford Motor Company, this is one of the five Press cars."

What a lovely car! Not so lovely price point .

That milage hasn't even got to the first service yet ! 185000squids, nah not today mate. Did you know they was all white except 2 which were red..

Makes the RS1800 that sold in WA a few years back for around 100k seem like a bargain now. It went back to the UK by all reports.
 
Correct Marty there were two red ones, Venetian red, no stripe, that one is still around and Carnival red, apparently another Ford press car like the one up for auction. Last I heard it was still MIA, that was a while ago though so hopefully its surfaced since then.
