Upgrade front brake kit- SOLD
Hi All I'm selling my RX7 front brake kit as it does not fit with the offset of wheel I'm using. 15" rims are required. Kit comprises of - 2 x Series 4 (FD) 4 piston callipers.
- 2 x 6061 T6 aluminium adapter brackets.
- 2 x 283/21mm rotors drilled to suit the OEM Escort hubs.
- Mounting hardware for the callipers.
The callipers are second hand and in good condition although I have disassembled one in preparation to put a kit through them. Pictures below (struts and hubs not included). $750 ono.

For some reason my centres have a shallow hub which while gives more dish for a chosen offset it places the centre further in which where the problem lies - the nuts around the outer rim foul the outside edge of the calliper. A normal 15" rim will be fine.

Hey Paul, Hope everything is good. Were my calipers Series 4? looking at pads thats all. I'm still using the "bed in" pads from 5 or so years ago.

Grant, Im pretty certain S4/S5/S6 pads were all the same even though the callipers looked different. S4/S5 callipers had the fins: rxsmall23ob.jpg S6 callipers were a smooth cast: dsc00583sq3.jpg Im using S5 callipers and have in them pads suited for S5/S6. Im going to try Intima SR pads after a mate recommended them. Reasonable price ($120) and seem to be half decent.

Hi Grant and Evan Yep, all good here GS - plenty on the go except my car LOL! From my observations the 2 are identicle (mounts, pads, piston sizes) except for their external appearance.

I'm looking at these brakes for my MK1. Can anyone confirm they will function properly/are compatible with the standard master cylinder. I'm unsure if it was also changed from MK1 to MK2 when the suspension, brakes and driveline were upgraded, so it could be either. Here's a pic.
