well - if you use a frieght fowarder to organise the whole thing - you'll be up for @$6000 AUD - includes about $1800 GST. NZD is worth $1.33 to the aust dollar when considering the cost of the car. ill have to nail him down on the red one but i think u wouldn't import to make a quid - u have to want the car - what's a very nce gxl worth here these days? If $20.000 AUD - you'd have to pick it up for @ $10,000 AUD - $14,000 NZD ...

i started chasing up a better quote. Mainfrieght will ship it over for $2080.00 NZD ( $1564 AUD)christchurch to Melbourne. I would have to engage another company to clear it thru customs - dont have a quote yet. But u would still have to pay GST (@$1800.00) - so still up there - but if u wanted a capri - there are a lot of nice ones in NZ for decent money ...

Nice cars seems a bit odd that neither have there body side mouldings, fake wood grain dash or chrome grill and that the bronze one has as do all GXL,s over here red needles on the dash but it does not have the red needles on the clock(console) whilst the red car is opposite I would assume that it either has a Mk2 dash or it must have been one of the very last built as per the RS models, love that Copper Bronze, heres one I had earlier (over 30 years ago)

yes - went around and checked them out - the bronze one isnt a gxl but a gt - used to have the big rectangular headlights .. still both very clean - just a spot of rust in the drivers door to the bronze one ...
the red one has everything - rear armrests/ashtrays / front pockets etc - except the grill..
he has had the front seats re trimmed - lovely job, in fact vthe car has had a lot of really good work done to it - very clean
