mk1 2dr now with nissan power
Hey,
After a minor electrical problem i had with my computer, i decided to pretty much turn it into project, so now its pretty much just a rolling shell with nothing in it, at the moment iam just getting it ready to send to the painters. As for the colour iam still undesided what colour blue i should go, iam looking to keep it blue just not sure what looks good. Iam after a nice bright blue that will stand out, be good to see what othe people think as iam not to sure yet.
other plans i have is to replace the quad throttle bodies with a turbo of some sort, re-build the engine, got all new gauges, rubbers, seats & harness, pedal box and a few othe bits a pieces. The idea of it is to turn it into a nice neat quick street car.
just a few pics of how it stands atm:

Keep the original colour. It looked great before you dismantled it. Otherwise, look for Ford True Blue. It was used on some XY Falcon GTHOs; Capri GTs and Escort twincams.

Cheers guys, the first pic is an old one i was just trying an old pic to see if it would work.
maxrs: we will see how we go, still thinking about if iam gonna do it but atleast i know you got one cheers.
mad mk1: cage was a custome job by "extream custome engeneering" (been there many times highly recommend if your in the brisbane area) but yer its a full molly, tig welded, built to cams specs and should have no trouble in getting it approved.
But it all depends on who you go to as one guy wont mod plate my seats as there solid mounted but then i rang another guy and he said he sees no problem in doin it. Just gotta ring around.
cheers

mine was $1650, brother also has a fully chrome molly weld in 6point cage with side extrusion bars built to drag spec standards and that cost around the $3200-3400 mark, yer there might be cheaper guys out there but the quality of his work is top notch My brother and i only use him so if you want anymore pic of his work let us know.
he is in Coopers plains just off beaudesert rd. His just by himself.
cheers
