GUYS......i've just been thru this last week, and found RACV kills the lot of them IF WE'RE TALKING CLUB REGIO regardless if 45 days or 90 days.............my XY Fairmont GS 351 FULL COMPREHENSIVE TO $30,000.00 if write off FROM RACV is $197.00 !...........My HJ60 Tojo 4WD full comprehensive for $10,000.00 write-off cover is $105.00...........

Shannons quote for both XY & LANDCRUISER was almost DOUBLE for the same cover and List of Events

If anyone knows better prices with a BIG name like RACV...........please enlighten me, as I have 6 more cars in the pipeline for Club Regio
    cheers

    ..........ps
Careful not to just aim for the $$$CHEAPEST$$$ and find out the hard way you're only covered for one of the Galaxy's Planets hitting your car , and all other events require a $10,000 excess !

Shannons - Got my RS with all its mods insured for $15K, going to get some pics to them and hit for an upgrade to $20K.  Most insurers wont look at old/ modded cars at all in the Sunshine state. Len

Hi Guys.............I just found out that where RACV have insured my Ford XY 351 GS Fairmont for $30K Cover for $197.00 annual premium ($300 accident-claim excess)......insuring with them also automatically covers all cars CVV (Classic,Vintage & Veteran) with Australia wide Roadside Service PLUS Extra Care to $1400 !!!!!!.......so if you breakdown anywhere in OZ, over 100k from home, and no local mechanic can fix your problem within 3 days, you're entitled to have your car transported back to your home and $1400.oo to use for emergency accommodation, or Car Rental or Tickets to return home !!!!!.......

......I'd like to see any other Insurance Coy that comes within a bull's roar of this RACV contract .

I have NO affiliations/interest with RACV or shares in any businesses they own or use...........because of their good premiums, I have my House, & also holiday house, & also parents house, plus an investment property, and Daily Drivers insured with them.

My friend let Shannons use his White mint original Mk1 GT V6 for their Shannons TV episode.  He took it down to them a year later to be re-evaluated as he wanted $45k coverage (was $30k).  The guy comes out and says "mate it's a mock up, GT's never had red interiors, and that woodgrain dash is supposed to be black, I know these things back to front, best I can do is $25k for a mock up".

As a result, Lumleys have a new customer and Australias best untouched GT V6 capri has $50k cover

Capri The car I always promised myself

I heard similar stories John, but said nothing for fear of being accused of "peddling anecdotal heresay" and casting aspersions with unsubstantiated rhetoric; nuff said !

I have the same deal with the NRMA version in NSW, RS insured for $30k for under $200.00 premium , Value was not a problem at all. I guess it all depends on your driving and claims records..
